COVID-19 policies & Precautions

COVID-19 Safety and Infection Control Policy

Healing is our priority at Divergent Physical Therapy! As a result, we take multiple precautions in adherence with CDC guidelines to protect the health and wellness of our patients, our staff, and our community. As medical professionals, we are bound to do no harm, whether directly or indirectly, and we take this role seriously.

We appreciate you for understanding! Please help us with this goal by adhering to the policies below.

What should I expect?

Please arrive no more than 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. When you arrive for your appointment, our front office staff will greet you and take your temperature from a distance with an infrared thermometer.

Please note: Coffee/tea are temporarily discontinued to comply with CDC safety recommendations. The Sensory Waiting Room will remain closed temporarily to limit patient time in the clinic. We will update this page with more information as soon as we know when these services will return.

Patient Responsibilities:

  • Wear a mask or other CDC-approved facial covering (Masks will be provided for patients who do not bring their own).
  • Check in with our front office and notify our staff if you have experienced a fever or cough within the last week or if you have travelled outside the U.S. within the last 2 weeks.
  • Notify our clinic if you believe you have been exposed to an individual diagnosed with COVID-19 or have tested positive for COVID-19 within 2 weeks prior to your appointment.
  • Use the provided hand sanitizer or wash your hands with soap and warm water in the bathroom before your session.
  • Do not linger in the clinic common spaces. Please exit the building soon after the end of your appointment to limit contact with the next patient.

Staff & Practitioner Responsibilities:

  • Staff will regularly clean and sanitize all surfaces and equipment.
  • All staff and practitioners will wear a mask or other CDC-approved facial covering.
  • Practitioners will leave 15-minute intervals between each scheduled appointment for cleaning and to limit contact between patients.
  • When possible, practitioners will limit use of the clinic common areas and maximize time spent in the private treatment rooms during each session.

Telehealth Services are available. Please contact our office if you are interested in a Telehealth Session.

We respectfully ask anyone who enters our space to kindly adhere to our COVID-19 Safety and Infection Control Policy. If you are unable to meet the safety requirements as outlined in our policy, we ask that you please contact our office as soon as possible to reschedule your appointment or schedule a telehealth session.

If you have any questions, concerns, or comments about our policies & patient forms, please contact our office at info@divergenttherapy.com or (360) 312-4901.
